Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
To access the Australian Government's Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative, book a double or extended appointment with your General Practitioner (GP) to assess suitability for a MHCP. Medicare offers rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. After the first six sessions, a review with your GP is needed to re-assess your eligibility for additional sessions.
Cost - $235 for a 50 minute session
The current Medicare rebate for a Clinical Psychologist is $141.85. The gap payment or out of pocket cost after the rebate is $93.15
Privately Funded
If you prefer, you can choose to self-fund your sessions
Cost - $235 for a 50 minute session.
Private Health
Cost - $235 for a 50 minute session.
The out-of-pocket cost may vary, so it's important to confirm this with your health fund before booking or attending your appointment. If you wish to claim a private health rebate, I will send you a receipt so that you can lodge your claim with your fund.
